Taiwan opens entry visas for Hong Kong and Macau citizens from 20-February.

Taiwan Mainland Affairs Council (MAC) held a press conference this morning. They announced that self-guided tour will re-opened for Hong Kong and Macau citizens from 9:00 A.M on February 20th. Meanwhile, online visa application system will be opened. People can submit a visa application to visit/stay in Taiwan via the cloud platform. 

Taiwan allows same-sex couples with Taiwanese and foreign nationals to register their marriage in Taiwan. even if the foreign partner is from a jurisdiction where same-sex marriages are illegal.

Minimum wage to rise again and effective January 1, 2023.

On September 1,  2022, the ministry of labor has announced that to reflects an annual consumer price indexing and an inflationary, the minimum wage will be raised from NT$25,250 to $26,400 per month and NT$168 to NT$176 per hour. This adjustment will take effect on January 1, 2023.
